  • 1/2 c. syrup
  • 4 to 6 slices pineapple
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Melt butter in cake pan.
