- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. syrup
- 4 to 6 slices pineapple
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Melt butter in cake pan.

2Add syrup and bring to a boil.

4Cream shortening and sugar.

5Add egg and dry ingredients.

6Add molasses and water.

7Pour batter over 1st mixture.

8Bake 30 or 35 minutes.
