- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light molasses
- 2 eggs
- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. ginger
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Cream together shortening and sugar. Add molasses and beaten eggs; stir until creamy.

3Add salt, baking soda and spices; stir.

4Add flour; stir.

5Roll cookies in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

6Bake for about 15 minutes at 375°.
