  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions
