  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients in blender well. Add by hand the rest of the ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Roll dough in balls the size of a walnut. Roll in sugar.

    Place on greased pan 2-inches apart. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. Will crack on top.

    Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
