  • 3 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. molasses

    Sift together dry ingredients.

    Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time and add molasses.

    Add dry ingredients.

    Chill thoroughly.

    Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a tumbler.

    Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°.
