- 1 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. each cinnamon, cloves and ginger
Directions

1Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheets.

2Flatten each cookie with a small glass dipped into sugar; place 2 inches apart. Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes.

3Let cool a few minutes before removing.

4Makes 4 dozen.
