- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Heat 1 inch of salted water (1/2 teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of water) to boiling.

2Add carrots; cover and heat to boiling.

3Cook until tender (25 minutes for whole, 5 minutes for shredded, 18 to 20 minutes for lengthwise strips or 12 to 15 minutes for crosswise slices); drain.
