  • 16 medium carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. liquid Butter Buds
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry instant beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon peel
  • 1/2 tsp. Sweet 'N Low brown sugar substitute
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

    In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat to low.

    Simmer, covered, 20 to 25 minutes. With slotted spoon, remove carrots to a bowl.

    Increase heat and bring to a rapid boil.

    Reduce to glaze consistency.

    Add carrots and coat evenly with glaze.
