- 1 can sliced Bartlett pears (in syrup)
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp.
- 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2/3 c. whipping cream
Directions

1Grease and flour 8-inch round cake pan.

2Drain pears; reserve syrup.

3Blend flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a small bowl.

4Cut in butter.

5Pour milk over mixture and toss with a fork.

6Spoon into cake pan.

7Top with pears; brush with syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.

8Bake at 400° until golden brown, approximately 45 minutes.
