  • 1 egg white
  • 1 water Table spoon
  • 1 pound pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 290 degrees.

    Beat one egg whit and 1 T. water until stiff peaks form.

    In a large plastic zip lock bag, mix 1 cup sugar, 1 t. salt, and 1-2 t. cinnamon.

    Add pecan halves to the egg whites, covering.

    Spoon pecans into zip lock bag and shake to mix and cover the pecans.

    Pour onto baking sheet with edges or roasting pan and spread into a thin layer.

    Bake for 1 hour, mixing at least 2 times with spatula to avoid burned spots and ensure pecans bake thoroughly..
