  • 1 head cabbage
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • salt to taste
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. buttered crumbs

    Cut cabbage coarsely.

    Cook in boiling salted water for 8 minutes.

    Melt butter or oleo in saucepan.

    Add flour and blend well.

    Gradually add milk, then stir in cheese.

    Cook until thick and smooth.

    Alternate cabbage and sauce in a buttered casserole dish.

    Top with butter crumbs and bake 30 minutes in a 350° oven.
