  • 3/4 c. butter (generous)
  • 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract

    Add well-beaten egg yolks.

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Add alternately with milk.

    Bake in a loaf pan at 350° until a crack develops on top and the cake tester comes out clean.
