  • 1 lb beef, shredded
  • 4 green onions, cut in 1 1/2-inch lengths and then shredded lengthwise
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sherry wine
  • 1 egg white
  • 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

    Marinate beef in Hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, egg white, soy sauce and sherry for 30 minutes.

    Heat oil in frying pan until hot.

    Stir-fry meat mixture 3 minutes.

    Arrange shredded onions on top of meat before serving.

    Serve hot.

    Note: if cooked onion is preferred, add onion to meat mixture; stir-fry 3 minutes.
