- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. minced green pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- shredded potatoes
Directions

1Mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, onion and green pepper.

2Add milk to form a rather stiff batter.

3It should be about the consistency of dumplings, stiff enough to barely drop from the spoon.

4Add enough potatoes to double mixture.

5Drop by teaspoons into 375° fat and fry until golden brown.

6Drain and serve hot.
