  • 3 c. gooseberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 5 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Heat gooseberries and water to boiling. Mix and moisten remaining ingredients. Stir into the hot fruit and cook until thickened. Pour into 10-inch pastry-lined pan. Cover with top crust. Bake in 400° oven for 10 minutes and continue for 35 to 40 minutes at 350° until crust is lightly browned.
