- 3 onions, sliced
- 1/3 c. oil
- 3 lb. boneless beef chuck, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. sour cream (if desired)
Directions

1In Dutch oven, cook onions in oil until tender.

2Remove and reserve.

3Combine paprika, salt and pepper and coat meat with these.

4Brown meat in onion drippings.

5Return onions to pot. Stir in tomato paste, water, garlic and remaining salt.

6Simmer 1 to 2 hours or until tender.

7If too thick, add more water. Garnish with sour cream.

8Serves 6 to 8.
