Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 4 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1/3 can tomato soup (no more or chili will be too sweet)
  • 1/3 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/3 tsp. cumin
  • 5 heaping tsp. chili powder
  • 5 whole bay leaves
  • 4 tsp. paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute onion and garlic until brown.

    Saute ground chuck until brown, then drain grease.

    Add all ingredients to meat.

    Simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.
