Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. Grace Seville orange marmalade
- 2 Tbsp. (1 oz.) butter or margarine
- 2 c. (1 pt.) milk
- 3 Tbsp. (1 oz.) sugar
- 1/2 pt. breadcrumbs
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar (4 oz.)
Directions

1Butter a 2-quart pie dish; cover the bottom of the dish with a layer of marmalade.

2Heat together the butter, milk and 2 teaspoons of sugar.

3Add the breadcrumbs; leave to stand for 10 minutes.

4Beat together 1 whole egg and 2 egg yolks; stir well into the breadcrumb mixture.

5Pour 1/2 of the breadcrumb mixture into the dish.

6Add another layer of Grace Seville orange marmalade.

7Bake in moderate oven at 350° until mixture is set. Whip egg whites stiffly; fold in the last quantity of sugar.

8Bake in a very cool oven (290°) for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, until the meringue is brown and crisp.
