- 1 cup graham flour (or 1/2 cup whole wheat and 1/2 cup rye)
- 1 cup white flour
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°F.

2Cut shortening into mixed dry ingredients until the mixture is the consistency of dry cornmeal. Add the milk and molasses all at once, to the dry ingredients. Stir dough for a scant 1 minute. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto an ungreased baking sheet.

3Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
