- 1 c. flour
- 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder together.

2With a fork, beat together egg, buttermilk and butter. Pour all at once into flour mixture.

3Stirring as little as possible, moisten the flour.

4Batter is not smooth.

5Bake in muffin pans at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
