  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 12 cups flour

Directions

    add salt, butter, and confectioners' sugar to a bowl and mix with electric mixer.

    in a separate bowl mix egg and almond extract, add to the mixture.

    add flour to the mix and continue to mix till its incorporated

    divide the dough in 1/2 and place in 2 separate bowls.

    add desired food colors to the balls of dough.

    roll the dough into ropes, twist together, cut to desired lengths and form into candy cane shapes and bake.
