- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 envelope yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. very warm water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 c. flour
Directions

1Mix together the shortening, yeast, sugar, warm water and salt in a large mixing bowl.

2Add 3 cups of flour and stir together. Add 1 cup flour and then turn onto floured bread board or pastry cloth.

3Knead for about 5 minutes, adding flour until it is no longer sticky.
