Ingredients
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. oil
- 4 tsp. salt
- 5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

2Sprinkle a little sugar over yeast.

3Combine scalded milk, sugar, oil, and salt.

4Add to lukewarm milk mixture and combine.

5Add flour gradually until it gets too thick to mix with beater.

6Turn on to well-floured surface; continue to knead (about 5 minutes).

7Form into round ball and place in well-oiled bowl and cover; allow to rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

8Punch down and knead 2 to 3 times.

9Form into rolls, and allow to rise again until they have doubled in size. Bake at 400 degrees until they are golden brown.
