Ingredients

  • 6 c. uncooked oats (not quick kind)
  • 1 c. raw wheat germ
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1/2 c. corn oil
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 c. sunflower seeds
  • 1 c. sesame seed
  • 1 c. pecans or almonds, blanched
  • 1 c. raisins

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients; add blended liquid.

    Mix well; pour in large pan (heavy) and spread evenly.

    Bake in 250° oven for 2 hours.

    Stir every 15 minutes.

    Turn off oven; add nuts and raisins and allow mixture to cool in oven.

    When cooled, put in a tightly covered container.

    Store in a cool, dry place.

    Serve with meat or fresh fruit.

    One-half or one-third of recipe may be made.
