Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c. Quaker oatmeal (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Toast oats in ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Combine toasted oats with remaining ingredients. Mix well.

    Press firmly into well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until slightly brown around edges. Cool.

    Cut into bars.
