Grape-Nut Custard Pudding

  • 1 qt. milk or a little less
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. Grape-Nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • nutmeg to taste

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Scald milk.

    Add Grape-Nuts and set aside.

    Beat eggs slightly.

    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla and stir.

    Dot top with butter.

    Bake 1/2 hour.

    Test after it bubbles slightly.

    Tester should be clean after inserted.
