Grapefruit Congealed Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 medium size pink grapefruit, peeled and sectioned
  • 3 pkg. Knox gelatine (unflavored)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. grapefruit juice
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    First peel and section grapefruit; sprinkle 9 tablespoons cold water over 3 packages Knox unflavored gelatine.

    Dissolve sugar in 1 cup boiling water.

    Mix with gelatine.

    Add 3 cups sectioned grapefruit and 1 cup grapefruit juice.

    Put 1/2 in a 9-inch square dish.

    Congeal.

    Leave other half at room temperature.
