  • 5 lb. potatoes
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 slice white bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Dice onion and bacon fine.

    Saute onion and bacon with 1/2 cup water until onion is transparent and water has evaporated.

    Stir melted butter into the mixture.

    Soak slice of bread in evaporated milk until completely saturated, stirring to break it up.
