  • 1 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 4 c. flour

Directions

    Mix shortening with salt and boiling water, whip until fluffy. Stir in 3 cups flour until dough forms a ball.

    Sprinkle extra flour on the dough until not sticky.

    Roll and edge pie crust. Prick with fork, bake at 400° until golden brown.

    Makes 2 large pie crusts.
