  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. canned milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour

Directions

    Cream sugar, margarine and shortening.

    Add eggs one at a time to well creamed mixture, beating after each.

    Mix dry ingredients separately.

    Add flour mixture alternately with milk to other mixture, beating well.

    Add vanilla and beat for a couple of minutes.

    Put mixture into a greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan.
