- 3 slices bacon, cut 1/2-inch thick
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 lb. green beans, ends trimmed and cut
- 1 Tbsp. snipped fresh dill
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook bacon and onion in a large deep skillet 8 to 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender. Add water and bring to a boil over high heat.

2Stir in remaining ingredients.

3Toss to mix and coat.

4Cook and cover over medium heat, 18 to 22 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans are very tender.

5Transfer to casserole or baking dish.
