Green Beans Casserole

  • 2 (1 lb.) cans green beans, drained
  • 2 tsp. onion
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • salt (optional)
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 4 oz. shredded Swiss cheese

Directions

    Saute onion in butter.

    Add flour, sugar, salt, pepper and milk.

    Blend together and cook until thick and bubbly.

    Remove from heat.

    Add beans and layer in greased casserole with Swiss cheese between layers.

    Top with buttered cracker crumbs, if desired.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
