- 2 large ham hocks
- 1 (No. 10) can string beans
- pepper and seasoned salt to taste
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 large onion
Directions

1In covered saucepan, cook beans in small amount of water. Before you put the beans in, cook the ham hocks until meat is almost off the bone, then put in beans.

2Pour the water from the can off; rinse the beans off, then place them in pot with the meat.

3Cook until tender.

4Cook this about 25 minutes.

5Ten minutes before you cut the beans off, add the onion, cut up in small pieces.
