- 3/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. cornmeal
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. milk
- 3 to 4 tomatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- vegetable oil
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients in bowl.

2Pour milk into another bowl. Put frying pan on medium heat.

3Let pan get hot, then pour in oil to depth of 2-inches.

4Dip tomatoes in milk, then into flour mixture.

5Repeat.

6Fry in oil until golden brown.
