Ingredients
- 3 c. white vinegar
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. pickling salt
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 10 c. sliced green tomatoes
- 2 c. sliced onions
- 2 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 c. chopped red peppers
- 1 to 2 hot peppers
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients and hot peppers in large saucepan. Heat to boiling.

2Add tomatoes, onions and peppers.

3Let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Continue to simmer while quickly packing one-half jar at a time.

5Fill jar within 1/2-inch from top, making sure vinegar solution covers vegetables.

6Cap at once.

7Process five minutes in boiling water bath.

8Makes 4 to 5 pints.
