  • 1 1/2 c. raw rice
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 c. minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped parsley
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions

    Cook the rice.

    To cook rice:

    2 cups raw rice, 5 1/3 cups cold water, 1 1/3 teaspoons salt and 1 tablespoon butter.

    Place all in a large saucepan.

    Cover and bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and cook, covered, for 25 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand covered 10 minutes.

    Serves 10 and makes large ring mold.

    Saute onion and garlic in butter.

    Combine rice and parsley in bowl.

    Add milk, salt, Worcestershire, cheese and egg, then the onion and garlic.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Pour into baking dish.

    Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes.
