- 2 c. skinned, quartered, thinly sliced green tomatoes
- 3 c. peeled, thinly sliced apple
- 2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- pastry for double-crust pie
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2To peel tomatoes easily, place in boiling water 2 to 3 minutes until skins slip off easily.

3Combine tomatoes, apple, brown and granulated sugars, flour, cinnamon and salt.

4Place in 9-inch pie plate lined with 1 pastry crust.

5Dot with butter.

6Adjust top crust and flute edges.

7Cut vents for steam.

8Bake in preheated oven 50 to 60 minutes.
