- 16 fresh oysters, shucked (save half the shells; once you have the shells this is easy to do with canned oysters)
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
Directions

1Heat coals to medium hot.

2Place grill 4-inches above coals or preheat broiler.

3Wash shells well and dry.

4(They can be used again.)

5Replace oysters in shell halves.

6If broiling, place on cookie sheet.

7Combine butter and garlic and spoon over oysters. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

8Grill or broil until they begin to puff.

9Remove from heat.

10Sprinkle with parsley.

11Serve immediately.
