  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded (Monterey Jack can be substituted)
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 c. instant grits
  • 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, diced
  • 1 (4 oz.) can jalapenos, diced
  • dash of Tabasco

Directions

    Combine grits and water.

    Mix with remaining ingredients and pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
