  • 1 c. grits
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) roll nippy cheese or sharp cheese
  • 1 stick melted butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • milk

Directions

    Cook grits in boiling water and salt until done.

    Grate cheese and add to grits along with butter.

    In a measuring cup, break eggs (lightly beaten) and fill with milk to reach 1 cup level. Combine with grits and mix well. Put in baking dish and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Great with ham, sausage or bacon.
