Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, cut up
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1/4 c. green pepper, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 3 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 lb. grouper fillets, cut up

Directions

    Partially fry bacon.

    Add onion, pepper and garlic.

    Saute until tender.

    Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, water and seasons. Bring to a boil.

    Add potatoes; simmer until potatoes are almost cooked.

    Add grouper; simmer until done.
