Growing Crystals

Directions

   Mix salt, water and ammonia.

   Pour this mixture over several small pieces of charcoal in a small glass bowl.

   Add several drops of different colored inks on various parts of the charcoals.

   Leave this undisturbed for several days and crystals will cover it in an interesting formation, growing and spreading every day.

   It will be white where no ink was applied.
