- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (2 squares)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cups coffee, freshly brewed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups hot milk
Directions

1Grate the chocolate into top part of a double boiler over boiling water. Add the water until a smooth paste is formed.

2Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add to chocolate paste.

3Gradually stir in the coffee. Beat until smooth. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Stir in cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and milk. Blend thoroughly.

5Cook mixture for for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6Before serving, beat with rotary beater until frothy.
