- 1 chicken, deboned and diced
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 8 ribs celery
- 2 c. cut okra
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. gumbo file
- 1 Tbsp. seafood seasoning
- salt and pepper
- 4 c. water
- roux (oil, flour and water)
Directions

1Make brown roux and add 4 cups water.

2Heat until it comes to a simmer, then add vegetables, except okra and simmer.

3Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, chicken and seafood seasoning. Simmer 10 minutes.

4Add okra and cook on low heat until okra is tender.

5Add file, salt and pepper.

6Serve on rice.
