- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. flour (loose)
- 3 Tbsp. Wesson oil
- 3 c. (2 cans) chicken broth
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 2 c. sliced okra
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 c. chopped cooked chicken
- 1 (5 oz.) can shrimp, drained
- 3 c. cooked rice
Directions

1Cook celery, onion and flour in oil for 5 minutes; stir as needed.

2Add remaining ingredients, except chicken, shrimp and rice.

3Stir well.

4Simmer 30 minutes.

5Stir occasionally.

6Add chicken and shrimp.

7Heat through.

8Serve over rice.
