  • 1 34 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 12 cups flour
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup gumdrop (omit white and black ones)

Directions

    Cream together sugar and butter.

    Add eggs; beat together.

    Add milk, vanilla and lemon juice.

    Whisk together flour, salt and baking powder.

    Add liquid ingredients alternately with dry ingredients.

    Stir in gumdrops.

    Cook in a tube cake pan at 325F for approximately 1 hour.

    Remove from oven, leave in pan for 10 minutes.

    Remove form pan and let cool on wire rack.

    Dust with icing sugar.
