  • 12 slices white bread
  • Butter to cover bread slices
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • Oil
  • 6 eggs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Directions

    Using an upside-down glass, cut a circle roughly 2-inch hole (6 cm) in diameter out of 6 of the bread slices; discard the circles.

    Butter both sides of all remaining bread slices (including those with holes) and place the six whole slices on the plancha.

    After a few seconds, turn the bread and place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each.

    Move these slices to one side of the plancha.

    Oil the middle of the plancha lightly and fry the eggs for about 3 minutes.

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

    When the eggs are cooked, move the bread with ham and cheese on them to a plate, and carefully place an egg on each one.

    Place the bread slices with holes on the plancha and toast for just a few seconds on each side, until golden brown.

    Then move these slices on top of the eggs so that the egg yolks appear in the holes.
