  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 6 eggs
  • flavoring (any)
  • 2 level tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk or 1/2 lb. sour cream

    Cream the Crisco and sugar.

    Cream the eggs, one or two at a time with the mixture.

    Add the flour.

    Bake the cake at 300° on the bottom rack of the oven for just over 1 hour.
