- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 beaten egg
- 3 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine in a large bowl sugar, margarine, salt and scalded milk.

3Cool by adding cold water. Blend in the egg and yeast, then the flour and blend well.

4Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, 45 to 60 minutes.

5Stir down and spoon into well-greased muffin tins, filling about half full.

6Let rise until dough reaches to edge of muffin cup and is rounded in center, about 45 minutes.

7Bake in 350° oven 15 to 20 minutes.
