- 3 lb. hamburg
- 1 c. chopped onion
- salt to taste
- 1 large head cabbage
- 2 c. rice
- 1 stick oleo
- pepper to taste
- 2 qt. tomatoes
Directions

1Brown onion in oleo.

2Cook rice in boiling water for 5 minutes and drain.

3Combine hamburg, browned onion, rice, salt and pepper in bowl.

4Remove core of cabbage.

5Cook in boiling water to loosen leaves and soften.

6Remove leaves from water; drain and cool. Stuff cabbage leaves with hamburg mixture and wrap.

7Place in layers in large pot.

8Pour tomatoes on top.

9Cover pot.

10Simmer for 1 hour.
